Challenge #25 - Blog Hop - "Pairs"
Another year has whizzed by.
Cards for Men has now been running for two years and to celebrate we have a bloghop running as well as our usual challenge. The theme for our challenge is the number '2'.Interpret it how you will, two cards, two images, pairs, twinsets (card & gift), etc. We'll draw a random winner and top 3 as usual. You can get all the details and lots more ideas from the Design Team over at the main site.
Here's what I made:
I wanted to make this card as simple as i possibly could. i took an image that i had in my 'Clip Art Collection and then printed them out. I 'flipped' one of the pictures as i wanted the card to look as if the bride was looking into a mirror just before she walked down the isle. I used a simple selection of pro-markers to colour in. I just wanted the face to be coloured. The dress was highlighted by using a glitter pen and just made a few dots.
To tie the images in l used my spellbinders and cut out a frame and a topper then using some flower spellbinders i made a embellishments for both. One had flowers the other looked like a mirror that had a few carved elements in it.
The mirror image was covered by a sheet of clear gloss acetate to look like a mirror.
To give the image depth as i wanted them to be on different placements. I took a sheet of A4 white card and then cut in half. A Martha Stewart punch gave the top edge a decorative look.
Folding one edge shorter than then the other so it was stepped. When closed one would fold onto the other.
A simple wording stamped image was placed in the centre of the long border.
There you have it a simple clean card.
If you want to know more please contact me and i will do my best to help you.
Also, we are having an Anniversary Blog Hop.
