STAMPS R US CHALLENGE - ANGELIC

I set about doing this card without fear of getting things wrong. Then it hit me! Im using my cricut to cut out the images and not using the stamps that l have in my collection, so i am keeping my fingers crossed thart its going to be accepted and fellow crafters will get some inspiration from what i have done.

Like i have mentioned i have used my cricut for this card. to be honest and i have always stated that i would be totaly open and honest on my blog, At first i just didnt get the whole Cricut Thing, i bought my Expression tried a few things was not impressed and put it aside. It kepts shouting at me to use it but l just blocked it out.

However one day l decided to re-visit the machine [it was due to the new revamped Cricut Design Studio] i started to have a look at what other images were out there. So l started to build up my collection of discs. I have to admit it that im impressed with what the machine does, however the jury is still out on the paers. It works brill on the lighter card as this stamp shows. Maybe in time i will learn to love it using my paper stock as well. Maybe im doing it all wrong!

Anyway back to the card. I used Cricut Best of 2008 for the Angel with a Horn.
The Angel was then covered in a uiltra fine glitter with the aid of my trust Zig pen. One of the best inventions ever in crafting! Then mounted onto the base shape that was also cut out.

I wanted to make a simple white card. As you can see l have kinda been in this white zone. I dont know but sometimes the simplest of colour palets are the best. We have a lot of multi coloured cards, but sometimes a simple card says it all.

Using my X Cut Die's i cut out 2 card shapes. I made use that part of the card was outside of the die so i had a straight edge so i could put a flap on so the card would stand up.

I then took one of my Spellbinders edgabilities to cut out a paper ribbon.
After l searched around i managed to find a simple stamp that had the right wording.[Are you like me, you have hundreds of stamps sets and single ones but when it came to christmas text very little?] anyway l did find a stamp that im hoping to make a 2nd card and upload onto here.

The wording was cut out using a oval spellbinder die and then edges using a silver metalic Papermania pen.

There you have it a simple glitter card that i think anypone would like to recieve.

Keep Crafting and have a great Festive time and a big crafting 2012.
