THE OTHER RUSTED STAMPED IMAGE

While l was playing around with the rusting powder l also stamped out this car image and just put it to one side for a later date.

Well then that date was yesterday when l decided to make a Birthday card for a friend. The ribbon was made using a technique l remember seeing a while back . Don't you just wonder why these ideas just pop into your head when you least expect them to?

Anyway l made the ribbon by taking a 1" stamp l had and then putting it onto my acrylic block reversed side up. Using Mountain Meadow ink pad l stamped the reversed side onto a trip of paper at almost equal distance apart. Then after cleaning the stamp l over printed with the right side and Black ink. The edges were made with a Martha Stewart punch. Starting in the middle of both sides and then working to both edges to make the edges equal.

The wording was done by well l have in my collection 250 different words and they are all surrounded by their own box. and they are magnetic. Well l didn't like them so as we all have alphabets stamps in our collection l just cut the words out of the frames and then cut of the first letter of the word . Then now l can have any capitol or lower case letter in front to make up the word. The face of the card was made by covering a sheet of white card with plain old wrapping paper. All the edges were treated with Vintage Photo distressing inks and my new fave tool My 'INK DUSTER BRUSH'.
There you have it l hope you like and it inspires you to have a play.

Keep crafting and happy

Alan
