This Card was made digitally. I have started to get to grips with Serifs Craft Artist. It works along side Adobe Photoshop. So much so l have started just ‘painting in’ the black and white digital imagery. Saving it as a Jpeg/PNG file and then importing it into Craft Artist.
Now then l am a firm backs to the wall Adobe Photoshop person, l swore blind that this was the bee’s knees and everyone who wanted to become a digital artist had to have this program. How wrong could l be. Okay l still use Photoshop for my designing, and my preparation of images. Then when it comes to building up a card its got to be Craft Artist.
If you don’t have a copy then may l make a suggestion, Get hold of the free copy that you can download from Daisy Trail. Look at it open up the free digi kits that are there.
The days are becoming more and more digitally focused. BUGABOO are in the position to take advantage of what’s going on.
Don’t get me wrong but l still love my papers, inks, blending brushes etc. But they do take up space. I have 5 shelves that are just for 12x12” papers and cards, Digital Imagery does not take up this space. it is also a lot cheaper, you will never run out of a paper design if you have the digital image on your hard drive. All you have to worry about is your Printer Ink. [I always have a 2nd stock so lm never going to run out]

Right back to the card. I did the colouring in and then imported into the program. Then l had a great time picking out what papers to use as the back ground. I had this image in my head of a ‘Grumpy Old Man’ [l had watched thie Grumpy Old Men telly show. So this image just fitted in so well. I wanted the feel of the card to be as if it was a snap shot in a persons home.
This was the resulting card. I hope its funny and no one takes offense. BUGABOO only make fun happy images these are just two of them.
All l did was print out my card front, mount onto card and with the use of Peel Offs l just added an edge to the print out. To cover the white areas all l did then was something that Mel Heaton said. Take a small pointed pen and just add 3 dots together. Don't be regimented about this in fact be very random. This will break up your back ground and make it feel one item. You don't have to use black like l have done you can pick any colour its your call.
Have a look at their web site, if your not fully up to speed with digital imagery then maybe you will make your visit to BUGABOO your first and your first purchase in the Digital Imagery Arena.

Any questions about what l have done for this card please send a short message and l will do my best to respond.

Happy Crafting Everyone.
ps.
