I wanted this card to be mostly Black and White. While i was doing the colour it hit me that just a splash of PINK would be just perfect. The colouring was all done using shades of Grey. The card shape was done by using one of my scalloped Grande Spellbinders circles.

When folded in half i just trimmed the base so it stood right when on display. The card was then run through the Calibur using the Steel Metal mask. To give the card base some depth i used a Ink Duster and Black Soot ink.

The next layer was done the same way as the base. However i used the metal die that was 2 times smaller so i could place on the card and it would fill most of the White. The card was scuffed up using a sandpaper holder so that the middle core was shown.

This stage after i had backed the Image onto some card l cut it out and secured using strong double sided tape.

The Text was done on my computer and then cut out using one of my Desert Island goodies my ek Circle cutting unit [it cuts from 1" right up to 6" in way to many increments to count lol]].

I cut out the wording on white paper and then using some of the same card l used for the card layer l cut out a larger circle. This was then run through the Calibur using a embossing folder, it was then scuffed up using the sandpaper.

A small strip of clear plastic from an spellbinders product was used so it looked like the text was floating in the air. This was secured into place by strong double sided tape.

There you have it. The card took me about 2 hours [which included a tea break]. Its shows you don't have to use full colour all the time. A black and white one can be just as 'dynamic'
