HAPPY BUZZDAY!
This is the first time l have set out to make an hopefully Altered Art Project. Its been a very long time since l explored this style of Art. However after being inspired by the projects the Design Team have done and explained to fellow crafters l thought l should just dive in and enjoy this great style of Art.
The Stamps are available from THATS CRAFTY ON LINE. For this l used STAMPERS ANONYMOUS Classic Favorites Classic #6 and STUDIO 490 Wendy Vecchi ART FOR YOU lCS093
For the background l designed a digital paper. [This will be made available for a FREEBI DOWNLOAD Here is the link http://www.4shared.com/photo/qnXSRcqb/Background_LIFE_tag.html
This will not so much as be a full on how l make more of an suggestion list of how l made this Tag.
LETS BUILD A TAG!
After l had printed out the backing paper l secured it onto a large tag that l had cut out of Manilla card stock from an old folder l had.
Then using the stamps from the Studio 490/Classic #6 with the following Dew Drop Ink Pads: Red Magic - Sea Breeze - Galaxy Gold and Graphite Black I started to build up some colour and imagery on the surface of the print out.
Using a White - Orange and Yellow Marker Pens again colour was laid down, this was done without taking great care as all l wanted was to have colour onto the surface.
Taking a hole punch l punched several holes around the top of the tag to give some details This was again using a White Marker Pen dots were placed around the holes so that they didn't look just like 'Punched holes!'
The Fly was then printed onto White card stock and coloured using a selection of Pro-Markers. Then the magic Glitter Pen was used to give the fly some sort of dimension When they are looked at different levels they look as if they are 'fluttering' I stamped just one on its own onto the surface and highlighted the wings.
After they were cut out using a pair of good sharp tipped Scissors they were secured into place using a good Strong Clear Glue to give height . They would then give their own shadow that moved as the light changed.
The final touch was to use my label machine and then using good sharp scissors l trimmed around the wording and placed onto the Tag.
You could add extra ribbons or string through the punched holes. On this occasion l decided not to.
I hope that this project can inspire you to try this form of Art. The design team inspired me to try and to go out of my comfort zone. I want to thank them all for lighting that spark in my creativity. I hope to explore more and unleash the Altered Art crafter in me!
Any questions please send me a message and l will get back to you as soon as possible.
This was a surprise pop up Alan as I didn't realise you'd moved before!
