Now then how did i make the card? As it was re-cycling i had put aside a few things that i had come across over the festivities. The Bird and Cage were cut out using my big shot and one of those large die’s they have [i have to admit since i have had my Caliber the big shot has not been used as much as it should be as it can cut a lot more than just 300gsm card! so using that thick foam packing i cut out the bird and cage. This was then painted using some old paint l have laying around. When i started this card the only thing i couldn't re-cycle [but l could if i looked hard and wanted to use one of my old cards] was the white card. So where was i? ahh right the bird and cage. This was then painted with some silver paint and then i placed the bird onto the cage. The paint acted as a glue and they became stuck-ed together.

The brown paper was from a gift. [this year in the household we decided to use plain brown paper but embelsihed it with some stamped images.] To add a little band i used some bubble wrap. This again was painted over using some old paint sample tubs that i had in my possession. A light spray of glitter was used to give it some sparkle. The Flower was again made out from the brown paper with the aid from some of my spellbinders die’s and then using some old glitter glue that i found hiding in a box i just gave it a light coverage to add some sparkle. I mean just because its re-cycled it doe not mean it had to be dull. 2012 is the year for ‘GLITTER’ we have to glitter everything.. Okay till we are boarded of it hahahahaha.

I just edges the paper with some Vintage Photo Distress Ink.

I have not added a title to the card as im not sure what i will use it for. It could be a birthday or a thank you card in the future. I try not to label cards i make till they are used. That way it leaves my cards open for other things.

There you have it a simple card made from things that were laying around so to speak. I hope it inspires you to maybe revisit your big shot or iron out that bit of paper. paint that bubble wrap.

Have a GREAT BIG CRAFTY 2012

As per normal if you want to know anything about what i have done please send me a message and i will get back to you asap.

Kindest Regards
Alan
