Drunken Stampers Challenge #82 ~ Something New
This week’s challenge was inspired by CHA this weekend, we want to see a card or project using something new in your stash. It could be anything that you haven’t used yet or something you just picked up, whatever it is have fun creating!
I have been looking at this stamp set for over 2 years or so. It was a case of mmmm maybe tomorrow, but as we know tomorrow never comes. Well i came across it on a web site and it was in the clearance section and it was at a great price so i had to buy it.
Then the challenge came up so it was as if it was ment to be.
After stamping out the image on good white paper stock i used my Spectrunm Noir pens to give it some colour. The sprinkles were coloured in using the trust gel glitter pens.
The image was then cut out using a spellbinders die before any further embellishments were done to the image.
After it had been cut out, i gave the cherry a coat of gloss from one of the must have gel pens. I edged the cut out using the impression that had been made when l cut the topper out. This was an easy way of making it look like it was mounted onto card.
Then taking a high gloss thick liquid l went over the glass to make it look like it was one of those old fashioned ice cream glasses..This was then put aside for the night to dry 100%.
The next topper was just stamped out on the same card and using the blue as a colour direction i once again used my spectrium noir’s and coloured the topper in. The ribbon bucket was cut out from the ecraft machine i have that will let you cut out small images with out having to get the backing sheet out etc.
The ribbon went through the Xyron and then was ready to be placed onto the card.
I stamped an image from a set of Metal Bottle top’s / Ticket stamps/die's. [These are a great plus to your stamp/die collection if you click on this link it will take you to a shop that stocks both the Stamp Sets and Dies that work so well with them for that perfect cut out. ] THATS CRAFTY ON LINE
To give the card some decoration as i wanted to keep this a clean simple card, i edged it using one of the spellbinders edgabilities that l have in my collection.
All that was left to do was construct the card. A happy and clean card that apart from waiting for the high gloss gel to dry did not take long .
Hope you like it and as always any questions please drop me a message and i will get back to you a.s.a.p
Happy Crafting
Alan

ReplyDeleteI do like the image and thought it was an epoxy sticker until I read the post, nice technique.
