5 Digi Images of your choice from Kenny K's Downloads

I was delighted when i was asked if i would be a guest designer for KENNY K's. It was a great opportunity and i was delighted that i could work with some adult themed images and not just the younger ones i have been lucky to work with.

Its nice to be able to mix things up when you can.

I wanted to do a 1950's themed card for this one as the image just popped out and said 'Old Hollywood Movie's' The image was printed out and then coloured in using my pro-markers. Then the trusty glitter gel and glitter pen's were brought out to highlight various sections. To me these two pens are part of my 'Desert Island Crafty Must Have's'.

When l had finished colouring in the image i wanted it to go on a base. To do this i took the original image into a design program and made an electronic die base.

You don't have to do this i just wanted to stretch myself as a card maker and see if i could make a base from any digi stamp image.

Now then the next thing that came to me was the backing paper. Like us all we have hundreds of papers and cards in our stock pile. But l just couldn't find what l was looking for. So i decided to design my own paper surface and this was the result. [i have made this paper available for FREE Download via the blog site]

The next point was the paper ribbon! Once again i didn't find anything that fitted in so i raced back to my computer and came up with a complimentary dotted paper that had the same backing paper as the hearts and fitted in. [Not sure i have this for download but will add it to the collection to be downloaded.]

This was then mounted onto some plain red card stock.

The wording........

I had bought a set of embossing folders that had an alphabet on it. Now they were not quite small or big enough to fit into one of my punches so out came the scissors. I just made sure i kept the message simple and not to wordy. I was also fortunate to have a hearts icon on the folder as well so it fitted in so well and it gave me chance to do the [Its all fitting in well Dance].

The heart was first cut out using an Heart die from Spellbinders and then using an embossing folder that l have i gave it a bit of detail.

This was then scuffed up with my crafters sandpaper.

Adding some foam pads or dimensional's for our Overseas crafting friends were used on the Iconic Archer.

Then the best bit building up the card. To finish the card off i took some of those paper brads, using the trusty gloss gel pen gave them a covering and secured into place. These are just an easy to use embellishment and do come in a lot of varied colours.

There you have it my fisrt card that l have made for the Kenny K's team.

Any questions please ask and i will get back a.s.a.p.

happy Crafting and fingers crossed this cold snap is not spoiling your crafting.

Keep warm and safe

Alan
